How it all began
The Branch Line started in the spring of 2005, we ran a monthly art cafe in our local village hall. Offering good coffee, practical workshops and our products (made from regenerated materials) for sale.
Our year at the village hall gave us an insight into peoples thoughts on recycling and an idea of what they were interested in buying.
We had a special two day show in November "TREES FOR LIFE" (not just for Christmas). The success of this and the cafe led us to look for shop premises.
Our shop in Beaminster has run for two years and has been a very positive experience but "Creative Regeneration" is an evolving process and we are now working on a new premises, where we have space to reach out and grow in a more versatile way.
Our aim at The Branch Line has always been to make useable, decorative, products from waste materials and to inspire and help other people enjoy the techniques needed to regenerate in this way.
Do contact us if you are interested in future workshops in West Dorset, or if you create products with regenerated materials, or if you are interested in our regeneration, or if your own creativity needs some regeneration.
